Welcome to the Little Red Riding Hood Registration pages.

The Bonneville Cycling Club (BCC) is pleased to have you join us in our 35th year, and participate in a fully supported, non-competitive, women only cycling event. With 17, 30, 55, 70 and 100 mile distances, there is a ride for everyone.

Motorist Road Sign Shifts
Volunteers will place diamond shaped road signs near select intersections warning motorists of a bicycle event ahead. Volunteers must wear highway yellow safety vests that we provide, and must be able to carry 40 lbs and erect or remove the signs safely in traffic.

  • Support And Gear drivers and helpers rove the courses assisting riders.  Ham Radio operators are encouraged.

  • Patrols routes assisting with minor bicycle repair - Shuttles cyclists to Aid Stations
  • Provides on-course communications
  • Provides minor first aid to injured cyclists
  • At least one amateur radio operator per SAG/Shuttle vehicle is strongly recommended.
  • Length of shift varies by specific assignment

Please note ham radio callsign, preferred course assignment, and preferred AM/PM/All Day shift. 
Assignments and specific shifts will be made by Operations Leader after initial registration.

  • Stationary and Roving Medic teams provide medical assistance to injured riders.
  • Requires sign-up and training at: https://lrrh-ops.groups.io/g/medic
  • Provides emergency medical support at aid-stations or roving medical support on the course
  • Medical volunteers use their own supplies based on their level of medical training.
  • Reimbursement of used supplies will be arranged.
  • Need to provide a photocopy of most recent medical certification active or expired (MD, EMT, Ski Patrol, etc.)
  • This job does not require an Amateur Radio license but is preferred for quick dispatching
  • Will be assigned to work in teams of two

Please note medical experience, ham radio callsign, preferred rest stop location, and preferred AM/PM/All Day shift.
Assignments and specific shifts will be made by Medical Leader after initial registration.

Rest Stop Communications
  • Skilled ham radio operators and their helpers use radios to provide robust communications between every rest stop.
  • Net Control radio operators coordinate and direct all on-course communications for the Little Red.

  • Deploys a portable radio communications station using the 2m and 440cm bands
  • Operates on a directed ham radio net
  • Coordinates with on-site BCC rest stop lead
  • Provides communications support for the logistics of aid station volunteer teams and ride participants

Phone Operators
Work with BARC Radio Communications personnel at Lewiston Fairgrounds
  • Receive telephone calls from Motorcycle Marshals, Safety Riders, and other course volunteers, relay messages to/from BARC radio operators so help can be dispatched on the course as needed.
  • Phone line is provided by the event.
